2020 Banff Allograft Pathology Workshop Information

The 2020 BANFF ALLOGRAFT PATHOLOGY WORKSHOP will provide a small group, interactive forum for sharing knowledge and expertise on current standards, emerging technologies and applications of the international Banff Classification for Allograft Pathology in the daily practice. In addition, the workshop will also offer the opportunity for hands on digital pathology based training and case based discussion, applications and interpretation of the Banff classification and diagnostic rules for all organ types.

Workshop Objectives:

After attending this course, participants will be able to:

  • Deliver basic diagnostic approaches in transplantation pathology as a non-subspecialized pathologist
  • Review recent up-dates in the Banff Classification for all organ types
  • Discuss diagnostic pitfalls and Quality Assurance principles in transplantation pathology
  • Describe novel insights from molecular diagnostic methods, their applications and limitations in transplant biopsies

The workshop is tailored towards residents, fellows, practicing general pathologists, sub-specialized pathologists, and physicians with an interest in transplantation pathology.
